These days’ children are hyperactive, impatient, uncultured, aggressive, indiscipline, stubborn, unemotional and self-centered. They find it difficult to react on different situations. Hyperactivity is a classic sign of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).Because of hyperactive they remain indulge in various tasks simultaneously without having focus and concentration on one task like they talk almost constantly and frequently interrupts others, move from place to place quickly and often clumsily, keep moving even when sitting down which become trouble for their parents . They become inattentive and less focused, they lose their concentration power.


Technological era also effects adversely to the mind of the kids as they remain indulge in video games and mobile games or videos which reduce their physical activities. Some more ill effects of inner games like they become self-centered as they are not making friends outside, social values will not build up in their minds, sharing habits will not culture and they become physically inactive .

Nuclear family is also hurdle in nourishing the family, social values and cultural values as the parents engage in their jobs, clubs and parties. Parents don’t have time to connect and talk with them that’s why kids don’t even know how to greet their elders, love their Youngers and help to needy one. All these cultural and social values develop when the atmosphere creates and knowledge is given.
When children are in their toddler years, they tend to be stubborn .The stubborn children become rigid for their demands and they behave rigorously without knowing “where are they”. It is important for guardians and parents to teach their children the different ways of dealing with stress and expressing themselves. Swami Ramdevji of Patanjali Yog peeth is pioneer who has spread yoga practices in masses with his blessings & motivation, Yog Society of Maharashtra, is organizing the yoga competition to strengthen the grassroots level yoga practitioners. This will help them show their talent at state level.
This event is mega event which will create a landmark in the field of Yoga will be launched under the able guidance and support of Mr. Ramkumar Rathi ,who is the chairman of Yog Society of Maharashtra. What are the Rules of Yoga Competitions?

  1. Each yoga participant has to perform asanas given under their group with proper yogic method.
  2. As per the age group, they have to perform one asana of their choice which has to be other than already given five asana in syllabus.
  3. Asana trainings will be as represented in pictures in guidebook. Positions pictures given in guidebook will be considered as ideal position for any asana.
  4.  Each asana has to be maintained for one minute. Asana of choice has to be maintained for 30 sec.
  5.  Each participant should bring their own Yoga mat/ Carpet.
  6.  Participant should wear decent cloths suitable for practicing yoga asana.
  7. The decisions made by examiners and Coordinators will be final.
  8. Each participant needs to bring following documents 
  9. i)Date of Birth Certificate
    ii) Bonafide certificate ( original and photocopy)
    iii) 2 passport size photos
    11. Fees for the competition is as below –
    i) District Level – Rs. 100/-
    ii) Zonal Level – Rs. 200/-
    iii) State Level – Rs. 300/-
  10.  Rules and regulations of the competition are binding on Yoga Performer/ Yoga Teacher and parents or other concerned people. Violating the rules will result in disqualification form the games.

  11. Yoga participants are expected to be present at the venue of the games at least 10 min earlier. There will not be separate examination for late comers.

  12.  Any misconduct or arguments by participants or teams thereof will result in thneir disqualification from the game. Decision by Organizers will be final in such cases

  13.  Participants are solely responsible for any injury/accident or such incident at the venue. Organizers will not be responsible for any such incident.

  14.  The prizes will be given only to first three winners in each group.

"योग सोसायटी महाराष्ट्र " ने प्रथमच राज्य पातळीवर योग प्रेमी व्यक्ती आणि संस्थांसाठी खुली योग स्पर्धा आयोजित केली आहे.

परमपुज्य स्वामी रामदेवजी महाराज Swami Ramdev ,Patanjali Yoga Peeth यांचे मार्गदर्शनाखाली "योग सोसायटी महाराष्ट्र " ही सेवाभावी संस्था महाराष्ट्रातील काही योग प्रेमी व्यक्तींनी श्री रामकुमार राठी Mr Ramkumar Rathi यांच्या नेतृत्वात एकत्र येऊन सुरु केली असुन, संस्थेचे प्राथमिक उद्दीष्ट भारतीय संस्कृतीने जगाला दिलेली अनुपम देणगी "योग" सर्व समाजा पर्यंत पोहचविणे आणि समाजातील योग प्रचार प्रसार करणाऱ्या अनेक ज्ञात अज्ञात व्यक्ती आणि संस्थांना एकत्रित करून योग विद्द्येचा प्रचार आणि प्रसार अधिक वेगाने करून आधुनिक मानव समाजाला रोगमुक्त, नशामुक्त करून सुदृढ आणि समर्थ बनविण्यासाठी परस्पर सहकार्याने राष्ट्रीय आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तरावर प्राचीन भारतीय योग विद्या पुनर्प्रतिष्ठापित करण्यासाठी साहाय्य करणे आणि युवकांना योगाकडे आकर्षित करून त्यांना योगातही करियर Career in Yoga करण्यासाठी प्रवृत्त करणे असा आहे.

 


• स्पर्धा स्त्री व पुरुष अशा 2 गटात व वयोमाना नुसार 3 गटात होणार आहेत वयोमानानुसार 10 ते 15 वर्षे, 16 ते 25 आणि 26 वर्षांपासून पुढील असे 3 गट स्त्री व पुरुष गटात असतील.


• स्पर्धा त्रि स्तरीय होणार असून


१. जिल्हा स्तरीय स्पर्धा दि 21 ते 28 जानेवारी 2018 या काळात महाराष्ट्रातील सर्व जिल्ह्यांच्या मुख्यालयात संपन्न होतील.

२. विभाग स्तरीय स्पर्धा : महाराष्ट्राच्या सर्व जिल्ह्यांचे मिळून एकूण 8 विभाग तयार केले असून जिल्हा स्तरीय स्पर्धेतील प्रत्येक गटातील पहिले 3 विजेते विभागीय स्पर्धे साठी पात्र समजले जातील आणि विभाग स्तरीय स्पर्धा 25 फेब्रुवारी 2018 ते रविवार 4 मार्च 2018 रोजी विभाग मुख्यालयात संपन्न होणार आहेत.


३. अंतिम स्पर्धा : राज्य स्तरीय अंतिम स्पर्धा रविवार दि 11 मार्च 2018 रोजी पुणे येथे संपन्न होईल.
स्पर्धे साठी राष्ट्रीय - आंतर राष्ट्रीय स्तरावरील योग तज्ञ / खेळाडूंचे परीक्षक मंडळ नियुक्त केले असून त्यांच्या मार्गदर्शन आणि देखरेखी नुसार स्पर्धा संपन्न होतील. तसेच राज्यातील सर्व जिल्ह्यात स्पर्धेच्या आयोजन व नियोजनासाठी समित्या स्थापन करण्यात आल्या असून त्यामध्ये स्थानिक पातळीवर योग प्रचार प्रसार करणाऱ्या संस्था आणि तज्ञ व्यक्तींचा समावेश करण्यात आला आहे. 

सदर स्पर्धा आपल्या जिल्ह्यात जिल्हा स्तरावर आयोजित करायच्या आहेत. सदर स्पर्धेची नियमावली व अन्य माहिती आपल्यासाठी खालील प्रमाणे पाठवत आहे.
१. स्पर्धा स्त्री व पुरुष अश्या २ प्राथमिक गटात होईल. तसेच वयोमानानुसार वयोगट खालील प्रमाणे असतील.

नियमावली


१. प्रत्येक योग स्पर्धकांस त्याच्या वयोगटातील दिलेली ५ आसने योग्य पद्धतीने सादर करणे अनिवार्य आहे.

२. वयोगटा प्रमाणे अभ्यासक्रमातील ५ आसने सोडून १ ऐच्छिक आसन करणे अनिवार्य आहे.

३. स्पर्धेतील आसनांचे प्रशिक्षण हे चित्रावलीतील आसनांप्रमाणेच असावे.

(चित्रातील आसने हिच आदर्श स्थिती समजली / मानली जाईल.).
प्रत्येक आसन जिल्हा स्तरीय स्पर्धेत ३० सेकंद आणि विभागीय स्पर्धा व अंतिम स्पर्धेत १ मिनिट स्थिर ठेवणे अनिवार्य आहे.

४. प्रत्येक स्पर्धकाने स्वत:ची सतरंजी / योग मॅट आणावी.

५. योगासने करण्या योग्य पोषाख प्रत्येक स्पर्धकाने परिधान करावा.


६. स्पर्धेच्या वेळी अंतिम निर्णय हा स्पर्धा तांत्रिक अधिकारी आणि आयोजकांचा राहील.

७. प्रत्येक स्पर्धकाने स्पर्धेला येताना
जन्मतारखेचा दाखला , बोनाफाईड सर्टिफिकेटची मुद्रांकित (attested) छायाप्रत (xerox) तसेच २ पासपोर्ट साईज फोटो आणावेत.

८. खालील प्रमाणे स्पर्धा सुरु होण्यापुर्वी जमा करावे.
अ) जिल्हा स्तरीय रु. १००/- प्रत्येकी
ब) विभाग स्तरीय रु. २००/- प्रत्येकी
क ) राज्य स्तरीय रु. ३००/- प्रत्येकी

९. योग पटू, शिक्षक व पालक किंवा सर्व संबंधित यांना स्पर्धेचे नियम बंधनकारक राहतील. स्पर्धेच्या नियमांचे उल्लंघन केल्यास स्पर्धकास / संघास स्पर्धेतून वगळण्यात येईल.

१०. स्पर्धक त्यांच्या स्पर्धेच्या वेळे पूर्वी किमान १० मिनिटे चेस्ट नंबर सह उपस्थित राहणे आवश्यक आहे, अन्यथा स्पर्धकाची पुन्हा स्पर्धा घेतली जाणार नाही.

११. स्पर्धेच्या ठिकाणी गैरवर्तन, वादविवाद आढळून आल्यास त्या व्यक्तीस / संघास बॅड केले जाईल व आयोजकांचा आणि परीक्षकांचा निर्णय अंतिम राहील.

१२. स्पर्धेच्या ठिकाणी दुखापत, ईजा, अपघात अथवा तत्सम दुर्दैवी घटना घडल्यास त्याची सर्वस्वी जबाबदारी स्पर्धकाची राहील, याबाबत आयोजक जबाबदार राहणार नाहीत.
१३. ऐन वेळी कोणास ही प्रवेश दिला जाणार नाही. (फक्त पुणे जिल्ह्यासाठी १८ जानेवारी २०१८ नंतर कोणासही प्रवेश दिला जाणार नाही)

१४. स्पर्धे साठी राष्ट्रीय - आंतर राष्ट्रीय स्तरावरील योग तज्ञ / खेळाडूंचे परीक्षक मंडळ नियुक्त केले असून त्यांच्या मार्गदर्शन आणि देखरेखी नुसार स्पर्धा संपन्न होतील. तसेच राज्यातील सर्व जिल्ह्यात स्पर्धेच्या आयोजन व नियोजनासाठी समित्या स्थापन करण्यात आल्या असून त्यामध्ये स्थानिक पातळीवर योग प्रचार प्रसार करणाऱ्या संस्था आणि तज्ञ व्यक्तींचा समावेश करण्यात आला आहे.

विजेत्यांचे स्वरूप स्पर्धानिहाय खालील प्रमाणे राहील.
अ) जिल्हा स्तरीय - प्रथम ३ क्रमांक - प्रत्येक गटात
ब) विभागस्तरीय - पहिले २ क्रमांक - प्रत्येक गटात
क) राज्य स्तरीय - पहिले २ क्रमांक - प्रत्येक गटात

एखादा विजेता स्पर्धक पुढील स्पर्धेत भाग घेणार नसेल तर त्या परिस्थितीत त्या गाठली पुढील विजेत्या स्पर्धकास संधी देण्यात येईल.

स्पर्धेतील सर्व स्पर्धकांना सहभागिता (participation) सर्टिफिकेट देण्यात येणार असून

जिल्हा पातळीवरील प्रथम ३ विजेत्यांना मेडल, प्रमाणपत्र व

विभागीय पातळीवरील प्रथम २ विजेत्यांना प्रमाणपत्र, व मेडल देण्यात येतील.


अंतिम फेरीतील सर्व गटातील पहिल्या 2 विजेत्यांना

QCI Level 1 course – 200 hr

The 200 Hr QCI Certification for Yoga Instructor forms the basic level of certification under scheme of yoga professional certification of QCI. A Yoga Instructor possesses introductory knowledge of a subject of Yoga. A familiarity with the basic yoga texts like the Patanjali Yoga Sutra, the Hathayoga Pradipika, the Gheranda Samhita, a familiarity with the application of Yoga and lifestyle management, etc. An instructor level implies to a familiarity with the cleansing processes, proper demonstration and information of the basic Yoga postures, etc. This is offered at Chiranjiv Foundation’s Yoga Initiative center at Pune as three days in a week for two month in non-residential mode. The students who successfully complete the programme and examination thereafter will be eligible for the certificate from QCI after clearing examination – theory and practical and interview with an external panel.

Dr.Sunanda S Rathi,Researcher in obesity of school children speaks : Obese children carry a higher risk than children of normal weight because of cardiovascular disease, bone and joint problems, sleep apnea, and low self-esteem. Childhood obesity is more likely to lead to overweight or obese adults.

The survey conducted in rural & urban school indicates that to deal with parent concern about child’s health is really important.Conducted counseling sessions to help, how to talk to  child about weight loss,for child’s future, health, and well being.

Studies show that parents of obese children of early adolescents  are often unaware that their child’s weight is a problem. As children grow older, most parents feel a mixture of guilt, responsibility, and helplessness. Obesity is a leading preventable cause of death worldwide, with increasing rates in adults and children speaks Dr Sunanda S Rathi,Pune, researcher in obesity in school children.
Obesity is more common in children. Authorities view it as one of the most serious public health problems of the 21st century. Obesity is stigmatized in much of the modern world (particularly in the Western world), though it was seen as a symbol of wealth and fertility at other times in history and still is in some parts of the world.
The ancient Indian science of yoga is a way of life which includes changes in mental attitude, diet, and the practice of specific techniques such as yoga postures (asanas), breathing practices (pranayamas), and meditation. Increasingly, it is considered that the best way to bring about a lasting change in people who are overweight is through lifestyle modification .
The psychological stress will be reduced by yoga as per its definition in the Patanjali yoga sutras . Yoga is defined as inhibition of modification of thoughts. The mental stress is closely related to psychosomatic diseases and yoga practice is useful for reduction of stress.
Our study in school showed that Yoga will help to increase awareness on satiety and sense of overeating. There are short term studies showing the usefulness of Yoga practices for weight reduction.
